Having success in the direct sales and relationship marketing industry a year ago is totally different today. I used to call leads and coached people in the industry who called leads. But like Sandi stated in previous trainings, there is a smarter and more productive way of connecting with clients and potential business partners in the direct sales and relationship marketing industry. They say when you are green in business, you don’t know anything and eager to learn what ever it takes to become successful. When you achieve a little bit or a lot of success, and been in business for a while, you can get caught up in, “oh I know what works because it worked in the past for me; you stop learning new skills to stay on the cutting edge.” Well when the checks begin to dwindle and the glory days soon disappeared, I knew it was time for a change.
